How to make delicious Apple Pie?

2 tablespoon unsalted butter
½ tsp fresh lemon juice
½ cup plus 1 tablespoon lemon juice
⅛ kosher salt
1 recipe test kitchen favorite pasta
1 large egg white

How to make Apple Pie?

• In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt butter and keep it on the medium flame
• Now stir the apple and add lemon juice
• Now add ⅓ cup sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon and salt
• Cover it and cook until the apples get softened
• Now please flour and cook it for about 2 minutes until the juice gets thickened
• Now transfer the juice into a baking dish and keep it aside to cool completely
• Roll out 1 disk of dough into a 13 inch round
• Now fit it into a 9-inch pie dish
• Keep it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes
• Also, roll out the remaining disk of dough
• Transfer on parchment to a baking sheet and using a knife cut a 1-inch hole in the centre
• Brush top dough with egg white and refrigerate it for 30 minute
• Place apple mixture in a dish and spread it in an even layer
• Now brush the dough with water
• In a small bowl, combine all the remaining sugar and cinnamon
• Preheat oven to 100 degrees and now place dish directly on the rack and bake it for 20 minutes
• Now reduce the temperature to 375 degrees and bake it until
the crust become golden brown
