Monster hunter is a monster film released in 2020 by Sony Pictures Releasing, the film was based on the video game series of the same name by Capcom. The film was directed & written by: Paul W.S Anderson And Produced by: Jeremy Bolt, Robert Kulzer, Dennis Berardi. Starring: Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip T.I Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au Yeung, Ron Perlman. Monster Hunter was released in theaters during the time of the COVID 19 pandemic with an opening in China and followed to Japan.

Plot

The movie revolves around a warrior, who lives in a world where humans and monsters coexist. A warrior is trained to kill these negative-powered creatures. His ship gets attacked by a horned monster named Diablos. Milla Jovovich is playing the role of Captain Natalie who then seeks other missing team soldiers of her team. Later the surviving team members hid in a cave where they got attacked by a pack of spiders who were monsters named Nerscylla. The team created portals on the sky tower and Artemis knew this fact. A battle helps Artemis fall into the portal but the portal does not close on time. Artemis decided to move back to the new world and join hands with warriors. Aaron Beeler played the role of Palico who was watching the whole battle sequence from the top of the portal fitted sky tower.

Budget and release

The movie with a running time of 103 minutes was released during the COVID 19 pandemic. Hence, was released in the Netherlands on December 3, 2020; December 4, 2020, in China; December 18, 2020, in the United States and on March 26, 2021, in Japan.
